Are you sabotaging your Kids Sunday school Teacher’s efforts?

Do you know you may be undermining your kids Sunday school teacher’s efforts?

As a Sunday school teacher, I often have hiccups with some of my kids. It is hard enough getting kids especially preteens and 4 – 7 year olds to settle down and to listen. Having those efforts wasted may be frustrating. My teens are not left out too.

From Sarah: I can identify with this post.
Danny loves to "TAKE OVER" everywhere. Our picnic table out side was used for a long time as "HIS'' place to leave all the tools he didn't need any more.
I finally broke him of it.
Now he doesn't do much of anything outside.
When we first moved into the Cracker House, I put up OUR mail holder. It and the counter it is on is filled with ALL "HIS'' Mail.....Mostly junk....pills, receipts and his everyday work items. It is a MESS until I clean it up.
Our KITCHEN table would have more than 2 daily pills on it IF I let him. It has his BP Cuff on it. He takes his BP MAYBE once a week. He would leave the roll of toilet paper there if I let him. Danny won't use tissues.
My Den would become a place for "HIS" toys and tents for Mr. Bojangles. He would just keep adding onto the tent city. Which would be fine if ....said cat wanted the 2nd story. If it didn't block the French doors and  the love seat.
I moved it out and dismantle part of it. Said Cat uses it now.
Get the picture?

Re-posting From Home Joys: "Miss Kim" Lilacs and Birthdays.

The year we married, Ed gave me a "Miss Kim" lilac for my birthday.

The "Miss Kim" lilac is a dwarf lilac. It grows slower than most lilacs and keeps a neater more rounded shape, even without pruning. After thirteen years, it is nearly six feet tall, which is about it ultimate height.
I love reading anything from this blog. It is refreshing.

Growing Together in Grace and Knowledge: A Time for Every Season

Growing Together in Grace and Knowledge: A Time for Every Season: I have been pondering the seasons of my life a lot lately - especially since becoming a first time grandmother. It seems in the ...

From Sarah: This struck a cord with in me. I have been PONDERING my life. Wondering where it is headed? Where Am I going? I can't keep feeling like I am on the outside of EVERYTHING. Even at home sometimes.
One thing I know I will NEVER BE is A GRANDMA.
I have been called Grandma by an Adopted daughter's child- adopted as In She calls me Mom. Her first born son calls me Grandma or Grandma Aunt Debbie (remember, Debbie is my real name).
I longed for Bobby to grow up, get married and then have kids. I wanted to be a Grandma. I was an awesome mom. I knew I would be an awesome Grandma.
Bobby never married. Never had any kids.
He always planned on it.
He wanted a wife. He wanted KIDS. He wanted me to me a grandma.
This mood: the constant talking about Bobby and the "I wishes" won't last long. It's just Hell Week, The week Bobby died.
My mom's death has bought back so many memories.
I am grateful to have so many of them.
So thank you for being here with me. Debbie AKA Sarah
Debbie just seemed appropriate.
Debbie as in Bobby's Mom.
